Dear Customer,

These past couple of months have been a whirlwind with COVID impacting all of us. You’ve created real impact through buying at Giving Masks. We are grateful to you.

Thanks to our customers and donors, we’ve donated thousands of surgical masks and hundreds of respirator masks

Through our sponsorships, and providing a donation of 1 respirator mask for each purchase to a number of hospitals, including Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Cedar Sinai of Los Angeles and New York Presbytarian.

We’ve also partnered with Indigineous Bridges, and have donated hundreds of respirator masks and thousands of surgical masks to the native American Soiux, Navajo and Pueblo nations, among others. The Navajo in particular have fatality rates 19 times higher than the nations average, and infection rates 50% higher. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see people’s who have such a rich heritage so hurt by a lack of resources.

Through your purchases, we’ve donated hundreds of respirator masks. We’ve also had numerous donors donate roughly $1,000 through our site. There’s still so much that they need.

Here’s a brief video from Violet, a co-founder of Indigineous Bridges thanking you, our customers and donors:

Starting In June, Contributing to Opening Up America:

Through our relationships with healthcare providers, we’re discovering that the rate of hospitalizations for COVID across the nation are dramatically down. Even in hospitals that are hard hit, they are able to meet their PPE requirements (with some complications).

We believe that the next major need in PPE are the small businesses. They’ve been dealt a quadruple whammy.

  1. Closed Down for the past 2 months – Many brick and mortar businesses have been closed down, leaving owners and employees without an income, while still having expenses.
  2. The Opening phases in many states require significant reductions in capacity – Even in opening phases, there’s significant limit to how many customers they can serve at one time
  3. Riots and looting – The current riots and looting are hurting many businesses
  4. Protective Equipment Requirements – Stringent protective equipment adds an extra burden through these difficult times.

To the millions of small business owners, our hearts go out to you. In our own small way, we are partnering with our customers to contribute to you. For every single order made, we are donating 5 surgical masks to a business in need. You can sign your business up on our website here for free. At the end of June, we will distribute our masks proportionately (subject to our discretion) among all of the business owners who signed up.

Do you know a business owner who could use help?

To our customers, know that every purchase you make this month is contributing to helping a small business owner. If you know someone who can benefit from free masks, please send them to sign up here.

Some shipping and distribution challenges:

As we’ve scaled up rapidly, there have been some issues in shipping and distribution. If you’ve been impacted, and haven’t yet had any resolution, please contact us here or at: 877-675-3454

We answer your questions/concerns promptly.

We have added more customer support representatives, and also are clearing up some common questions you have across our site.

New Products in May:

In late May, we’ve added 2 new products to our site for you. We’ve added 3-ply non medical masks at rates that are far cheaper than most stores. We’ve also added the only  US Manufactured, certified, cloth respirator masks in the country.

Coming up in June – holistic solutions for COVID-19. Mental Health. Monitoring. Testing & More

We’re partnering with a company to provide affordable, holistic solutions to mental health, monitoring, testing and more. We expect this to go live in the next 45 days, and would love your feedback. If you would like to be involved in the beta, please email david@givingmasks.com
